Worthing Winter Night Shelter Fundraiser

The nights are getting darker and colder and the Worthing Winter Night Shelter started last Monday. This means now for the next 19 Sunday’s our good friend Claire Cook will be volunteering and helping 10 men and 2 ladies stay in the warm, have a home cooked meal, get clean clothes and have somewhere safe to stay for the night.

Last year Claire raised money through friends and loaded Greggs Gift Cards with £5.00 each and gave them to the guests so they had something to use to get hot food and drink for the next day. This made their nights and they were all so grateful. They are also handy to give to those who are unable to stay at the shelter when it was full. Knowing they can have hot food and drink the next day brings some comfort.

So until Saturday 1st December, for every £5.00 that someone donates to this cause through SJM, we will match it! You can donate as below:

    Some of the SJM team have been busy 1st fixing an installation for a new cattery. The installation includes LED lighting, small power and data. The cattery has a vets area and 15 separate pens with power and heating. A great job and you can just see how brilliant the results are!
