Electric Car Charging Points

Sustainability is evolving and at the heart of everything we do which is why we have built a specialism in installing electric charging points.

For businesses, homes and public highways, we are fully qualified to install Electrical Vehicle Charging points in compliance with BS 7671 regulations.

SJM Electrical Services are registered as an Approved Installer of Rolec EV Charging Points. More information on this can be found here.

We are also part of the government-backed OLEV-approved Electric Vehicle Charge Point Installers scheme which provides grants to support the wider use of electric and hybrid vehicles, including:

  • Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) – This is a voucher-based scheme which provides support towards the up-front costs of the purchase and installation of electric vehicle charge points. Find out more on the government website.
  • Grants towards the cost of the electrical point installation – A list of the vehicles eligible for the plug-in car grant can be found on the government website.

We can apply for this grant on your behalf but we need proof of either ownership or leasing of an electrical vehicle. If you already own an electric vehicle, we require proof in the form of a copy of the V5C.
