What a day!
On Thursday 30th November, SJM Electrical Services had one of our busiest (and most exciting days!) in a long while!
As part of the Small Biz 100 event, Steve was invited to 10 Downing Street for a special event for the Small Biz 100 winners; it was such an honour to be invited to such an incredible place and to be recognised on such a monumental as a small business owner, and by our Government too! The whole experience was surreal, but one we won’t be forgetting in a hurry!
Stephen Barclay MP, Economic Secretary to the Treasury, said:
“It’s great to welcome so many business owners to Number 10 today to show our appreciation for the crucial contribution they make to Britain. Small businesses are vital to a thriving and competitive economy that is fit for the future, so it’s great to see that the number of small businesses in the UK has been growing in recent years. We hope the country will join us in championing the UK’s small businesses, and support them this Saturday.”
Not only this, but the SJM Electrical Services team attended the Sussex Business Awards that evening too as we were shortlisted for the ‘Responsible Business Award’ which we are ecstatic to announce we won! A total surprise but an exciting and overwhelming one to be recognised as not only a great small business, but a small business who encompass the local and wider community into their ethos as well as supporting and driving responsibility and sustainability in business.
