As part of our Small Biz 100 – Small Business Saturday campaign, we not only offered customers a discount on electrical work over the campaign period, but decided to go one step further and have communicated with children’s hospice Chestnut Tree House who have sent us a ‘wish list’. We then worked tirelessly, approaching other small business owners to see if they would help support this local charity and buy/donate something from the list too.
The response within the community to this initiative was phenomenal and we were completely overwhelmed by the generosity of local small businesses within the local area.
MP, Sir Peter Bottomley visited the SJM Electrical Services HQ on Saturday 9th December and was incredibly enamoured by the sheer volume of donations received for such an important charity.
We hand-delivered the presents to Chestnut Tree House on the 15th December and Community Fundraiser Caroline Roberts-Quigley said ‘Thank you so much Jacki and Steve of SJM Electrical Services and their suppliers, clients and customers for your amazing gifts for the children and their families at Chestnut Tree House. Merry Christmas.’
All of us here at SJM Electrical Services would like to thank all of the small and local businesses that donated to help raise smiles for so many over the festive period. It means so much to us to know that we were able to give something back to such an important cause.
